The Book of Glory tells of Jesus's return to his heavenly father: it tells how he prepares his disciples for their coming lives without his physical presence and his prayer for himself and for them, followed by his betrayal, arrest, trial, crucifixion and post-resurrection appearances.

Gloria Patri, also known as the Glory Be to the Father or, colloquially, the Glory Be, is a doxology, a short hymn of praise to God in various Christian is also referred to as the Minor Doxology (Doxologia Minor) or Lesser Doxology, to distinguish it from the Greater Doxology, the Gloria in Excelsis Deo.

The earliest Christian doxologies are addressed to God the Father alone. Note: this course begins with chapter 13 of John’s gospel. Forms of glory book STEP students have enjoyed “The Book of Glory” without previously taking "The Gospel of John: The Book of Signs,” but in such cases we recommend reading the first half of the gospel prior to the start of the course.

Course Content Unit 1 - John Unit 2 - John   1) God’s GLORY is MANIFESTED THROUGH HIS SON, the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus echoed this same truth in John“He who has seen Me has seen the Father.”.

The Book of Exodus (The Old Testament Library | OTL) The Old and New Testament Library series offers authoritative commentary on many Old and New Testament books and provides additional theological works that closely examine major aspects of both testaments.

This important series contains modern works written by noted authors as well as classic. The whole earth is full of glory — and we find ourselves surrounded by glory in every direction. But not every glory is saving glory, as John Piper explained in a sermon in Houston back in April of this year.

He was talking about his new book, A Peculiar Glory, and what makes saving faith so unique. Here’s a clip of what he said. The word, glory, or some form of the word (like glorious or glorify) is found in the King James Bible times. It is one of those important words that is hard to explain.

However, I think we can get a good start in understanding this word if we think of it as being used in three different ways. 6 hours ago  Laura Barringer and I discuss all this more in our soon-to-appear book, A Church called Tov, and our focus is on the seven characteristics of churches that form into tov (or goodness) cultures.

He wrote over one hundred books, including Prayer, Heart of the World, Mary for Today, Love Alone Is Credible, Mysterium Paschale and his major multi-volume theological works: The Glory of the Lord, Theo-Drama and s: The Shekinah glory is a visible manifestation of God in the natural world.

At times, the Spirit of the Lord would visit people in human form (Genesis –2), and at times, the Spirit of the Lord would "rush upon" a person and give them supernatural powers (Judges ; 1 Samuel ).
